DESCRIPTION:The City of East Point is once again kicking off its summer series of free public concerts\, featuring surprisingly big-name recording artists and performers putting on a show in the Downtown Commons area. This time it’s an R&B affair\, with former Bad Boy Records artist Carl Thomas\, Regina Belle\, Melvin Riley and Ready for the World\, and Silk (the “Freak Me” singing group Silk\, not Master P’s little brother “the Shocker” — he’s the silk with two “k”s\, but we digress…). It’s hosted by V-103’s Big Tigger and Q from ATL’s own 112\, and you can bring lawn chairs but no coolers or tents. Masks required!
