SUMMARY:Twisted Soul Juneteenth Week Events
DESCRIPTION:Chef Deborah VanTrece and Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours have a series of special food-related Juneteenth events through June 19. There will be food and beverage specials at the West Midtown restaurant on Wednesday\, June 16\, and Thursday\, June 17\, and other events elsewhere in Atlanta through the weekend. \nTwisted Soul will host a special happy hour on Wednesday\, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.\, featuring special half-priced menu items like the collard green dip\, ATL lemon chipotle wings\, and buffalo catfish sliders with kale cabbage slaw. On Thursday\, Twisted Soul will serve a family-style dinner of fried chicken\, mac & cheese\, collard greens\, cornbread\, and sweet potato biscuits\, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. The standard dinner menu will still be available as well. \nThen on Friday\, June 18\, Twisted Soul will bring its soul food flair to Steady Hand Brewery for a Fish Fry at the brewery\, located at 1611 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW. The Fish Fry will feature Chef Deborah’s famous Fried Catfish\, Snapper\, Spaghetti\, and Creamy Grits. The cost is $12 per person. \nFinally\, on Saturday\, Chef VanTrece will kick off the 2021 chef demo program at the Freedom Farmers Market at the Carter Center from 10:00 a.m. to noon\, showing you how to prepare dishes with seasonal ingredients from local farms. \n  \n
