Butter.ATL Asks Omerettà The Great What Is and Isn’t Atlanta

Butter ATLFebruary 25, 2022

There’s a high chance that earlier this week, you went to sleep, all comfy and confident that you can rep Atlanta without a problem, only to wake up to the news that your Atlanta card may be temporarily revoked.

Of course, we’re talking about the latest viral controversy surrounding Sorry Not Sorry, the latest single by ATL viral sensation and fire-spitting hip-hop newcomer Omerettà The Great

According to Omerettà, who at a young age already has already experienced Tik Tok virality and bonafide hits under her belt, there’s a high chance that wherever you rep is not Atlanta. The APS baby called out College Park, Lithonia, ClayCo, Decatur, Gwinnett, Roswell, Forest Park and Lilburn as not being “real” ATL, and cracked the internet open with the flood of memes, arguments, conversations, and responses that followed.

To chat with her about her latest track and all things Atlanta, Butter.ATL’s Brandon Butler and Mike Jordan sat down with Omerettà The Great to get all the details on why she made the song, if there’s a remix or new music on the way, and if she said “Lilburn” or “Lindbergh.”

And yes, we made sure to ask her why she filmed the music video about what is and isn’t Atlanta… at the Truist Park Smyrna Atlanta Braves stadium… in Cobb County.
