A History of Atlanta Pride
Butter ATLOctober 8, 2021
Atlanta Pride is one of the oldest and largest pride festivals in the U.S. We’re here for it.
Some folks call Atlanta the “San Francisco of the South.” Others say San Fran is just a West Coast ATL. What does that tell you? It says that the LGBTQ+ community in this great city of ours is mighty. And they’ve given Atlanta more reasons than could ever be counted to deserve appreciation from everyone in town.
So we asked Twitter threadmaster Donovan Reynolds to give us another one of his always-thoughtful rundowns of information that will remind you of why it’s so important to celebrate Atlanta Pride, even on a year like this one when official events are supposed to be cancelled.
Good luck with that. LOL.
Click the tweet below and read Donovan’s thread, and help us pay homage to one of the most important communities in Atlanta, and also to remember why we celebrate Pride not just a few times a year, but all year long.
